MCA names finalists for Chartered Management Consultant award
The finalists for the Chartered Management Consultant of the Year Award, a category in the MCA Awards 2024, have been announced by the Management Consultancies Association. The category recognises outstanding consultants who have been awarded Chartered status, who have exceptional expertise, experience, and talent within the consulting profession.
Hosted annually by the UK consulting industry’s representative body, the Management Consultancies Association’s MCA Awards are the biggest event in the sector’s calendar. Highlighting the work done by consultants in partnership with clients as well as the talent across the sector, each year, the awards continue to grow.
Since the launch of the Chartered Management Consultant (ChMC) accreditation by the MCA and the Chartered Management Institute, one of the most fiercely contested categories has become the Chartered Management Consultant of the Year award. Now in its third year, the prize is awarded to a chartered consultant who has shown they have all the qualities required for the accreditation and have applied them to deliver real impact for their clients and the organisations they work with.
Tamzen Isacsson, CEO of the Management Consultancies Association, stated, “The ChMC accreditation helps consultants improve their skills and competencies, boost their professional reputation, and benefit the organisations and industries they work with. These individuals have demonstrated excellent skills, knowledge, and commitment to the consulting profession. We look forward to celebrating their achievements, after the independent judging panel interviews them, at the awards ceremony in October.”
Developed to add a level of quality assurance to the UK’s consulting sector, the ChMC has seen the number of applicants grown significantly. In the past year alone, more than 500 new consultants achieved ChMC status, meaning over 1,300 consultants now hold the qualification.
