Opus opens new office in Manchester
Opus Business Advisory Group has opened a new office in central Manchester. Frank Ofonagoro joins Opus to lead a dedicated team committed to business support, restructuring and insolvency advice.
The Opus Business Advisory Group has the largest independent practice of restructuring and insolvency specialists in the UK, with a head count of over 100 and 29 Partners, across 14 regional offices. Offering restructuring, corporate finance, forensic accounting, turnaround, investment and rescue planning services to clients across the UK, the firm has recently been growing its operations.
Having recently purchased insolvency advisory SKSI to further enhance this offering, Opus has again expanded its offering, with the launch of a new office. The hub in Central Manchester will cater to the city’s local business community, which has been facing multiple economic challenges in recent years that have impacted many business operations.
Opus Group Partner Trevor Binyon noted, “Each business we work with has different needs and challenges throughout its evolution. Our aim is to bring together highly experienced Partners to support business owners and directors whatever the circumstances.”
According to a release from the firm, Opus is “committed to finding the best options for businesses to move forward and overcome challenges”. As the company works closely with its clients to “truly understand their business and provide a holistic view of their financial and operational health”, having an outlet in Manchester will help to better understand how to help clients across the North West of England.
To helm the new operation, Opus has brought in Frank Ofonagoro as a partner. Arriving with more than 20 years of experience delivering projects in restructuring, transaction services and corporate advisory, he is a current board member of the North West branch of the Turnaround Management Association and is committed to providing local businesses and funding institutions with tailored advice through his expertise.
Speaking on his new challenge, Ofonagoro commented, “I am excited to join the Opus team and head up its new Manchester office. I was attracted by the Opus philosophy that is centred around early engagement with clients to support business value preservation. At Opus Manchester, my team and I will continue to work with companies and their financial stakeholders to navigate complex business challenges or change events.”
