BJSS wins AWS innovation prize for IVF roadmap
European consultancy BJSS has been named as Amazon Web Services’ top EMEA innovation partner for 2023. BJSS was praised for helping Care Fertility to use the cloud-based technology to enhance its services to IVF patients.
Amazon Web Services is a subsidiary of Amazon which provides on-demand cloud computing platforms and APIs to individuals, companies, and governments, on a metered pay-as-you-go basis. AWS subsequently helps clients to grow businesses through alignment with its sales, marketing, funding, capture, and proposal teams.
With the appetite for digital services having boomed during the pandemic, AWS’ cloud products have experienced heightened demand – even after the lockdown era came to an end. Consulting firms are top performers when it comes to capitalising on this – offering the most extensive AWS services across the widest range of international markets.
BJSS is among the firms who have exemplified this as part of the 2023 AWS Partner Awards. Partners like BJSS ensure that companies at whatever stage of their cloud adoption journey are able to take full advantage of the cloud computing platform has to offer – and the consultancy’s work was commended with the EMEA prize for AWS Innovation Partner of the Year.
According to a release from BJSS, the award recognises technology leaders around the globe helping customers drive innovation and build solutions on AWS. This saw BJSS demonstrate innovative consulting, creating outstanding customer experiences via an integrated lifecycle of services, including initial assessment; cloud environment architecture, development and deployment; and ongoing migration and management of cloud infrastructure and applications.
In particular, BJSS’ efforts were crucial to supporting client Care Fertility – the UK's leading fertility clinic group. BJSS’ position as an AWS partner enabled it to design and deliver an innovative medical imaging AI solution to transform embryo selection during IVF and improve outcomes for clinicians and patients.
Professor Alison Campbell, chief scientific officer at Care Fertility, said, “Our AI-driven approach to embryo assessment and selection, Caremaps-AI, promises to further enhance our IVF patients’ chances of successful treatment, and is a technological leap forward in our sector of healthcare. Our exciting work with BJSS and AWS has resulted in a world class, life changing multi award winning AI solution.”
Tom Mellor, head of health and life sciences at BJSS, added that the award was testament to the “incredible and important work” that the firm deliver every day across healthcare.
He noted, “Our project with Care Fertility is the perfect example of BJSS' ability to develop leading-edge, innovative technology solutions that deliver better experiences and improved outcomes for patients and clinicians. Working side-by-side with the Care Fertility team, we have developed an AI solution that is directly improving the chances of prospective parents of having a baby.”
