Valcon UK hires Chris Blair as director in data wing
Chris Blair has joined Valcon UK’s data, technology and transformation team. As a director, he will aid the department’s planned expansion across the data and technology space.
As businesses around the world continue to explore digital technologies, as a means to decrease costs and increase revenues, the popularity of the IT and technology consulting segment continues to grow too. As clients turn to consultants in the space to help get the most from new IT and software implementations, research from Statista suggests the global IT and technology consulting market could grow by 5.11% leading up to 2028 – resulting in a market volume of $87.03 billion in 2028.
Amid this, Valcon UK is bolstering its technology offering with a number of senior hires. The firm is experiencing growing demand for transformation consulting in the data and technology space in particular – something which it has sought to cater to with the hires of Eric Sartoreli and Martin Wells as partners earlier in the year.
The arrival of Chris Blair further boosts Valcon UK’s capabilities in the segment. Bringing over 17 years of risk analysis, technology and consulting expertise to the firm, Blair was most recently a commercial director in financial services with Agile Solutions GB. He previously also held roles with firms including TEKsystems.
Speaking on his appointment as director at Valcon UK, Blair said on his personal LinkedIn, “Thrilled to announce that I’ve joined Valcon, one of Europe’s fastest growing consultancies. A hugely exciting opportunity to join a results focused no nonsense consultancy with impressive capabilities to help organisations modernise across data, technology and transformation.
Blair’s remit will focus on growing the consultancy’s presence across data, technology and transformation and strengthening client relationships. According to Phil Rolfe, managing partner of Valcon UK, this is central to the firm’s future growth trajectory.
Phil Rolfe, Managing Partner of Valcon UK, commented, “We are continuing to see increasing demand across our European client base for our data and technology transformation services. Strengthening our client relationships and making clients aware of our expertise in data and tech is key for Valcon’s continued growth and Chris’s appointment, along with the other senior hires we have made recently, is key to this strategy.”
Valcon is a European consultancy specialising in technology and data, and recently received a platinum rating in business intelligence as part of Consultancy.UK’s 2023 industry rankings. Earlier in 2023, it also struck an alliance with Teneo.ai to help it stay ahead of the curve on the latest technological advances relating to conversational AI.
