Sharon Harwood-Davis joins pensions consultancy Broadstone
Broadstone has appointed Sharon Harwood-Davis as client consulting director. She arrives as the advisory company helps clients respond to major challenges in the healthcare sector in particular.
Founded in 1989, Broadstone is an actuarial consulting firm which is home to more than 500 consultants and administrators. The firmadvises over 1,000 clients in pensions, employee benefits and investments decisions.
In response to the unpredictable pensions environment of the UK, Broadstone has seen demand for its services on the rise. To help meet the changing needs of its clients, this has seen the firm ramping up capacity – both through mergers and acquisitions, and recruitment drives.
The latest move to this end has seen Broadstone recruit Sharon Harwood-Davis as a client consulting director. As a healthcare specialist, including in Healthcare Trusts, Harwood-Davis’ passion lies in consulting with clients to create proactive and measurable strategies to promote employee engagement and wellbeing – something which is increasingly important, as the mounting NHS crisis sees waiting lists climb to a record high of 7.33 million.
Speaking on her new challenge, Harwood-Davis said, “It is a critical time to be working in the sector given the pressures on the NHS and employers. Now more than ever businesses need proactive strategies to support the health and wellbeing of their workforce keeping them fit, engaged and productive.”
With over 20 years of sector experience with particular expertise in the corporate healthcare and healthcare trust market, Harwood-Davis arrives from her most recent engagement with Big Four firm PwC. She previously also held senior positions at Mercer and JLT.
