Kelly Parsons becomes head of DC proposition at Broadstone
Broadstone has appointed Kelly Parsons as head of DC proposition. The newly created role aims to capitalise on momentum from the firm’s employee benefits consulting division.
Damon Hopkins, head of DC workplace savings at Broadstone, said, "It is exciting to bring Kelly to Broadstone as she will add significant experience in a key growth market for the business. At a time of much change in the pensions market, her expertise will be invaluable in helping new and existing clients deliver best-in-class pension provision for their employees.”
Parsons arrives from Mercer Marsh Benefits, where she led a team of benefit consultants advising employers on pensions, as well as group risk and healthcare – and has also held senior roles with Arthur J Gallagher, and JLT/Alexander Forbes. She brings over 24 years of extensive experience in pensions and employee benefits with particular expertise in team management, proposition development and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and growth.
Looking ahead at Broadstone, Parsons will develop the firm’s defined contribution pension proposition to meet evolving client and market needs, enhance financial education initiatives to improve member engagement and oversee provider research to ensure the delivery of market leading solutions. To do this, she will work to expand her team, dedicated to client service and business expansion.
Parsons noted, “I am passionate about collaboration and delivering client-centric solutions that ultimately help people achieve better outcomes in retirement with their pensions. This role gives me the opportunity to do just that alongside Broadstone’s continued success and growth in the pensions sector.”
Founded in 1989, Broadstoneis an actuarial consulting firm which is home to more than 500 consultants and administrators. The firm advises over 1,000 clients in pensions, employee benefits and investments decisions. The creation of the role of head of DC comes as the firm enjoys rapid growth in its employee benefits consulting wing.
Broadstone is also expanding into the life insurance sector. Earlier in 2025, it sealed the acquisition of ExactVal, a move which will boost its specialist expertise in the life insurance sector.
