Crowe appoints Peter Fairchild Head of private clients
Consulting firm Crowe has appointed Peter Fairchild as Head of its London private client team. Fairchild is a specialist advisor to sports and entertainment clients, with more than three decades of experience in the sector.
Rebecca Durrant, National Head of Private Client, commented, “I am delighted to welcome Peter to the team. His expertise complements our growing Private Clients practice brilliantly and his focus on holistic advice and giving back to the community is a perfect match with our ethos as a firm.”
Crowe is a national audit, tax, advisory and risk firm offering global reach and local expertise. The firm is enjoying a significant period of expansion, having delivered revenues of over £125 million for its last financial year – and its private clients wing in particular is growing fast – adding a number of senior hires in recent months.
The latest of these sees Fairchild take on the role of Private Client Partner in London. He will now help further develop and grow the market-leading private client practice, supporting clients on personal tax matters and providing advice that brings long term benefit.
Nigel Bostock, Chief Executive at Crowe, added, “Peter’s appointment comes at an exciting time of growth for our private clients practice and I know he will be a huge asset to the team. Peter’s arrival is also testament to the strong reputation Crowe enjoys in the market. I look forward to working with him and seeing the fresh insight and value he will bring for clients and the wider firm.”
With over 30 years of experience in the private client sector, Fairchild specialises in working with sportspeople as well as clients in media and entertainment industry. He also advises entrepreneurs, family offices, non-UK domiciled individuals and professional practices. At the same time, as a passionate advocate of young sports talent and improving financial literacy, he has collaborated with sports organisations to develop a wide-ranging education and life-skills programme for under 18 and under 21 footballers. The programme helps young players understand the tax and financial issues they face and how to save for life after football.
Speaking on his new challenge, Fairchild noted, “The new year brings a new and exciting challenge. I am delighted to join Crowe and the award winning private client tax team. The skill sets, technical knowledge and dedication to delivering exceptional client service is already very clear to me. I look forward to being part of the continuing success of the team, helping it grow.”
