Jim Dobel new managing director of Q5 in the UK
Q5 has appointed Jim Dobel as the inaugural Managing Director of its UK team.
Jim Dobel has been with the management consulting firm since 2013, when he joined from the BBC, where he previously spent seventeen years in programme management, media production, innovation and line management roles.
At Q5, Jim has built a track record of delivering complex business change programmes at a variety of clients, from start-ups to large multinationals including Bloomberg, BT, Arcadia, British Gas, Christies, King, Frieze, Balfour Beatty and Wates. He specialises in organisation design, strategy execution, process design, and change management.
In his new role, Jim picks up the baton of both implementing Q5 UK’s strategic plans, and nurturing Q5's own organisational health. Along with the UK partner team, he leads a UK consulting team of around 150 working from offices in London, Leeds and Cardiff.
“We’re delighted that Jim has agreed to take on the role of UK Managing Director. With a natural focus on the importance of the people side of organisational design and change, Jim believes in the power of combining the art and science of organisational health to deliver brilliant outcomes for our clients and team,” said Sharon Rice-Oxley.
“Jim is well placed to lead the UK organisation and to power our growth plans.”
Founded in 2009, Q5 is a UK-headquartered and award-winning consultancy with international offices in the US, Asia and Australia. According to Rice-Oxley, one of Q5’s co-founders, Jim’s appointment comes at an exciting time for the firm. “We’ve grown significantly in the past two years, expanding both our client reach and international influence.”
