CGI seeks tech partners to accelerate client net zero efforts
IT solutions provider CGI is calling for organisations to join its Digital Climate Technology Partner Ecosystem. By applying, companies can support the acceleration of net zero journeys for businesses, communities and infrastructure providers across the UK.
The 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference, also known as COP26, is the 26th United Nations Climate Change conference. It is scheduled to be held in the city of Glasgow, Scotland between the 1st and 12th of November 2021, under the presidency of the UK.
IT and business consulting services firm CGI is supporting COP26, and aligning with the landmark convention, the firm is calling for organisations to apply to join its Digital Climate Technology Partner Ecosystem. Organisations with digital solutions, including software and devices, that enable positive net zero outcomes are encouraged to apply.
Rich Hampshire, Vice President Consulting at CGI, commented, “We’re committed to delivering our own net zero goal, as well as helping other businesses and our communities do the same. This is why we’re encouraging organisations with innovative, digital solutions to apply to become part of our Partner Ecosystem, and work with us to empower businesses, communities and infrastructure providers, particularly in the North of England, on their net zero journeys.”
According to a release from the firm, stipulating the conditions of application, firms hoping to join the Partner Ecosystem will need to have a B2B or B2C proposition, be ready to deploy their solutions with a live client example and be able to demonstrate proof of net zero outcomes. Additionally, organisations should have a focus on the North of England. Entry closes on the 15th September 2021, before pitch sessions are held on the 29th September 2021 at the Leeds Digital Festival, or through supporting virtual technology, as required.
Successful applicants will be invited to join CGI’s Digital Climate Tech Partner Ecosystem, support the acceleration of net zero journeys for businesses, communities and infrastructure providers in Britain. They will also feature in a CGI showcase in Glasgow during COP26. Meanwhile, one organisation per category will also have the opportunity to participate in a joint proposition and go-to-market planning session with CGI focused on the North of England, and will receive business mentoring and a climate charity project donation made on its behalf.
