RSM agrees five-year contract to access Unit4 cloud PSA system

Unit4 has announced a new five year contract with RSM. The move sees RSM renew access to Unit4’s cloud technology for its consultants.

Unit4 was founded in 1980, and has since expanded across the globe, including hubs in the UK, US, and across Europe. The organisation delivers ERP and other IT services to clients across professional services, public services, not-for-profit, real estate, wholesale, financial services and education.

RSM is a global network of accounting and consulting firms. Its continued agreement with Unit4 will see it maintain the delivery of Unit4 Professional Services Automation (PSA) in the cloud to half its workforce.

“Unit4 PSA is an innovative solution with native Microsoft integration and the breadth of functionality to meet the requirements of our teams,” De la Fe added. “Unit4 has proven the value it can deliver to RSM in recent years, and we want to extend that value by expanding access to the solution.”

Consulting is an industry that is built on people and project-driven work, while facing specific challenges. As firms rely more heavily on understanding the profitability of individual projects, rather than the overall department or company performance, demand for PSA solutions in the consulting sector has boomed into a multi-billion dollar industry, driven by services organisations turning to PSA tools to improve productivity, operational efficiency, financial margins and billable utilisation.

By maintaining the agreement to access Unit4 PSA, RSM will be able to extend the application across its organisational cloud. In doing so, a release from the firm stated it hopes to benefit from industry-specific solution that provides full visibility across client-facing projects including project progress analytics and resource utilisation across time zones. The PSA system allows for seamless project scheduling and resourcing, as well as seamless tracking of execution stages and project financials.
