Ex-Bank of England CISO Neal Semikin joins The 324 Consultancy
The 324 Consultancy has bolstered its ranks with cybersecurity heavyweight Neal Semikin, the former Chief Information Security Officer of Bank of England.
Founded in 2019, The 324 Consultancy is a boutique consulting firm specialised in cyber risk management and cyber security, providing advisory and programme delivery services to clients across the financial services industry.
The addition of Neal Semikin to its team adds over three decades of information technology experience to its ranks. Prior to joining, he worked over a decade at the Bank of England, most recently as Chief Information Security Officer. In the role, he was accountable for the Bank’s cyber security risk and organisational maturity.
Previously, as Head of IT Security he stood at the basis of the setup of the now 100-strong IT Cyber Security Division, and led the central bank’s Application and Infrastructure divisions. Whilst at the Bank of England, Semikin was also the UK representative at the G20 Working Party on Security Incidents in Basel, and the tri-lateral Cyber partnership with the US Federal Reserve and Bank of Canada.
Before that, he spent eleven years at Lloyds Banking Group, leading numerous transformations, including the rollout of a core production infrastructure, a large IT infrastructure transformation and a business processes outsourcing programme, as well as the delivery of applications in the internet banking, cards and client management domains.
