Sionic appoints partners to its Jersey leadership team

Two of Sionic’s senior leaders in its Wealth Management & Private Banking practice, Gilly Green and Shelley Doorey-Williams, have been appointed to the leadership team of the firm’s Jersey office.

With a population of just over 100,000 people, Jersey is a dwarf on the global map. However, in the world of wealth management, Jersey can safely be considered a giant relative to its size. The island is a safe harbour for multinationals and large companies seeking offshore listings, and trust funds and family offices seeking to protect and optimise their wealth.

One of the Europe’s leading consultancies to the asset and wealth management sector, Sionic has been active in Jersey for over a decade. To meet growing demand for its services on the island, the firm has appointed two of its UK-based leaders to strengthen the local leadership team helmed by Paul Bratch, a Managing Partner at Sionic and the founder of the Jersey operation.

Explaining why the firm is making this strategic investment, Shelley Doorey-Williams said: “Jersey is at the forefront of the global financial services industry and is one of the easiest international finance centres to do business with remotely. In the current digital environment, this is ever-more relevant.”

“We are experiencing increasing demand in Jersey for consultancy in corporate governance, holistic client service models and transformational change management. We see a real opportunity to align our services with this market trend,” added Gilly Green.

The duo bring over 50 years’ experience working in wealth management and private banking to the team, which according to Bratch will “significantly increase the range of advisory and consulting services Sionic can now offer to the Jersey market.” These new services include corporate governance and board effectiveness reviews, regulatory services, business integration, change management and digital transformation.

Globally, Sionic has a headcount of around 300 consultants and staff operating from 10+ offices. Its largest offices are in New York, London and Zurich.
