Rick Seehra joins Bovill as Head of the Prudential practice

Rick Seehra has joined financial services regulatory consultancy Bovill as its new Head of the Prudential practice.

The new service line leader brings over ten years of experience in banking and regulation to the firm. Seehra joins Bovill from Standard Chartered Bank, where he was a Director of Recovery and Resolution planning for four and a half years, delivering the Group’s recovery plan which involved managing over 60 senior stakeholders across the business in areas such as finance, human resources and treasury.

As a Senior Manager at BDO, he provided Section 166 reviews and remediation work for UK banks and he conducted assurance reviews for challenger banks. Before that, Seehra worked in the UK Banks and Building Societies Division at the Financial Services Authority as well as the UK Banks and Mutuals Division at the Prudential Regulation Authority.

The appointment comes at a period of major regulatory change for the financial services sector.
