Sanj Benawra named Senior Manager with Spectrum Corporate Finance

Spectrum Corporate Finance has promoted Sanj Benawra to Senior Manager. The news is the latest in a raft of appointments at the firm since the start of 2020.

Founded in 2010 by Simon Davies, Clive Hatchard and Ian Milne, Spectrum Corporate Finance is a corporate finance and M&A advisory firm which has been involved in a number of Europe’s leading deals. The team has been involved in many of the regions leading deals from either an advisory or a funding perspective, including ICS Cool Energy, Mountain Warehouse, Bargate Homes, Leisure Pass Group, Virgin Wines, Arqiva, BIMM (British and Irish Modern Music Institute), Paladone and Raymond Brown.

Benawra joined Spectrum’s team in London in May 2019, and since then has worked closely with Managing Director Farlow and the wider Director team on a number of high-profile deals including the public to private of intellectual property provider Murgitroyd and the acquisition of Premier Park by Sovereign Capital. He is currently working on several transactions in both the Technology and wider Business Services sectors. Prior to joining the firm, he spent a decade in financial planning, having started with KPMG’s graduate scheme, before holding financial planning roles with Balfour Beatty, PwC and Abstract Bee.

Commenting on his recent promotion, Benawra said, “Since joining the Spectrum team last year, I've seen the business continue its growth trajectory. I have enjoyed working closely with clients on a number of transactions, and I look forward to many more successful completions to come.”

As the firm continues to grow its profile in its 10th year of business, Spectrum recently committed to a string of recent promotions which brought 27 experienced professionals to the firm across its offices in London, Reading and Southampton. Following this, the firm announced three senior team appointments in February and hiring a new Associate Director a month later.
