Mansion House Consulting has appointed Simon Tatam as the firm’s new Director, Head of Treasury. Tatam arrives having spent almost 30 years as a Treasurer for companies – including some of the most turbulent economic times in modern history.

Mansion House Consulting (MHC) CEO Gerard Kenny said of the new hire, “We are delighted that Simon has joined the Mansion House Consulting management team to enhance our offering within Treasury which remains a pertinent function for our clients now more so than ever.”

An experienced group treasurer, with a proven track record of developing and re-engineering global treasury functions, Simon Tatam has deep knowledge and interpretation of the regulatory framework, and its application within treasury and the wider business environment. Tatam’s career has seen him succeed in treasury functions, even during periods of significant distress and uncertainty – a track-record MHC’s clients will be keen to benefit from amid the current Covid-19 pandemic.Simon Tatam joins Mansion House Consulting as DirectorTatam was Treasurer, Europe and Asia, at Cantor Fitzgerald from 2000 to 2003, before spending nine years as Treasurer Marex Spectron – a role he held through the duration of the last global economic recession. Commenting on his new role, Tatam remarked, “I am very much looking forward to working with the Mansion House team and adding to their already considerable product depth by developing the treasury service offering and delivering effective solutions into both existing and new clients.”

IT and technology consultancy MHC was one of Europe’s ten fastest growing consultancies last year. The UK-based firm caters to clients in the Financial Services sector from its offices in London, New York, Frankfurt, Singapore and Bangalore. Since the company was founded in 2009, it has spread across the world quickly, and now employs over 300 people worldwide.

Late 2019 saw the firm appoint cybersecurity expert Alan Pratt to its London team. Pratt joined MHC following three decades in the public sector, having most recently been Chief Security, Science and Innovation Officer with the Home Office.
