Mansion House Consulting has appointed cybersecurity expert Alan Pratt to its London team. Pratt joins the firm following three decades in the public sector, having most recently been Chief Security, Science and Innovation Officer with the Home Office.

IT and technology consultancy Mansion House Consulting (MHC) was one of Europe’s ten fastest growing consultancies last year. The UK-based firm caters to clients in the Financial Services sector from its offices in London, New York, Frankfurt, Singapore and Bangalore. Since the company was founded in 2009, it has spread across the world quickly, and now employs over 300 people worldwide, while ranking as one of the top 600 fastest growing companies in all industries, boasting growth of 198% and revenues of €49.3 million.

One of the firm’s key services is cybersecurity consulting, which has become a major source of demand in the consulting industry in recent times. 2018 saw Britain stung by 140% more cyber-attacks than the year previous, something driven chiefly by a global increase in botnet activity. This increase in attack traffic also caused nearly 40% of small and medium enterprises in the UK to experience at least one cybersecurity incident. In this environment, MHC has looked to strengthen its cybersecurity offering with a senior hire to its London office.

He will also have a leading advisory role focusing on the learning and development of MHC staff within its cybersecurity practice.
