Efficio promotes Christo Zeller, Dap Wijeyeratne and James Cunningham
International procurement consultancy Efficio has announced the promotions of Christo Zeller and Dap Wijeyeratne to Vice-President and James Cunningham to Director of Client Delivery. The news comes as Efficio looks to continue its prominent growth track into 2019.
Global consulting firm Efficio has enjoyed a period of sustained growth since private equity firm Livingbridge invested in Efficio. Growth in the past years consistently hit double digit figures, and taking its founding year 2000 as a baseline, Efficio has experienced an average growth rate of around 30% per year. As a result, Efficio – which helps its clients identify, deliver and sustain benefits in procurement – now has around 400 employees across offices in the UK, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, the Middle East, Switzerland and the US.
Meanwhile, at the British Private Equity & Venture Capital Association Awards, the firm scooped the National Mid-Market Management Team of the Year 2018 prize. The judges were impressed by Efficio’s strong and sustainable growth, acknowledging that this is for a large part down to the company’s management team, which has scaled a 'people business' and differentiated itself in a competitive market. As Efficio looks to consolidate on this acclaim and kick on from its success into 2019, it has announced the promotion of three professionals across its UK wing.
Christo Zeller has been promoted to the role of Vice President at the firm, having joined Efficio in 2005. Zeller boasts 20 years of procurement transformation experience, which he gained with leading consultancy firms in South Africa and the UK. This saw him spend three years with PwC, where he was a Manager, and two years with Andersen Business Consulting, where he was latterly a Senior Consultant. According to a release from Efficio, he has been integral to the firm’s sustained growth as a global leader in procurement, and recently helped to deliver major growth in the Nordic region.
Dap Wijeyeratne has likewise been made a Vice President at Efficio, bringing more than 25 years of experience across all aspects of strategic sourcing to the role. He gained that know-how both in industry and via consulting work, spending three years with PwC as a Management Consultant before joining Efficio in 2004. Prior to this, he spent spells with Britvic Soft Drinks, Rover and 3M in various buying and purchase management positions. Since arriving at Efficio, he has extended his focus, successfully driving new business and client engagements across multiple sectors including financial services, fintech, retail and technology.
James Cunningham joined Efficio in 2002, and has been promoted to Director of Client Delivery. The newly created role makes him responsible for improving the efficiency and quality of Efficio’s client delivery through more effective deployment of the company’s technology, intellectual assets and expertise, ultimately enhancing the benefits for clients. In his previous role with Efficio, he worked to deliver client programmes from strategic sourcing through to complex transformations across a wide range of sectors, leading some of Efficio’s largest engagements in the utility industry. Prior to this, he also spent five years as a PwC Consultant.
Commenting on the appointments, Jens Pedersen, CEO of Efficio, said, “We are delighted to announce the promotions of Christo, Dap and James. They are talented, highly valued colleagues whose commitment to delivering first-class client service and to guiding and developing their project teams has been the cornerstone of Efficio’s growth and success. We are excited to welcome them to the senior management team.”
