CBRE expands UK retail team with three new Associate Directors
CBRE has bolstered its UK Retail team with three new Associate Directors, Josh Blatt, Ben Selwyn and Suzie Lisle. Blatt and Selwyn will work across the firm’s London Tenant Rep team, while Lisle will focus on investment properties transactions in the retail segment.
Josh Blatt worked at Cushman & Wakefield before arriving at CBRE this year. He worked in Cushman & Wakefield’s Retail Property & Asset Management segment as a Chartered Surveyor for the past four years, joining the firm’s Valuation & Advisory practice during University in 2010. He holds a Degree in Urban Estate Management from the University of Westminster and is a Chartered Surveyor.
Ben Selwyn meanwhile joins CBRE from Dutch and French airline KLM where he worked since 2013 as aa Surveyor in the company’s KLM Retail segment – the work included retail property advisory related to, among others, acquisition and disposals, investment, development and lease advisory disciplines.
Suzie Lisle, prior to joining CBRE, worked at Lambert Smith Hampton as a Senior Surveyor in the firm’s Capital Markets segment for four years. She was previously a Chartered Surveyor for the firm, beginning in 2013. She joined the firm as a Graduate Surveyor in 2012, following four months at Bruton Knowles also as a Graduate Surveyor. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Real Estate from the Birmingham City University.
The three additions bolster CBRE’s UK Retail team – the firm recorded strong growth in the segment over 2017, with turnover up 84% in its London retail occupier team in a dynamic landscape.
Blatt and Selwyn join as Associate Directors; the two will work across the firm’s London Tenant Rep team, which numbers more the 160, within the Retail Advisory & Transaction segment – they report to Michael Horwitz. Meanwhile Lisle joins as an Associate Director, leveraging her retail experience as she takes up responsibility for investment properties transactions in the segment.
Commenting on the appointments Rhodri Davies, Head of UK Retail at CBRE, said, “There is no doubt 2018 will be another interesting year and we’re investing in a range of talent across the board which will further strengthen CBRE’s offering.
