Deltek names Perry Hardt head of its global marketing team
Deltek has appointed Perry Hardt as its Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. In his new role, the former Oracle veteran oversees the global marketing team of the provider of enterprise software and solutions.
Perry Hardt joins from Infor, where he led the global marketing and demand generation teams. Prior to that, he spent fourteen years at ERP-giant Oracle, where he held positions focused on lead generation and field marketing efforts. His tenure at Oracle culminated in his role as Vice President of Marketing for Oracle’s North American business responsible for pipeline support for all Oracle product lines and industries. Hardt holds a graduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the University of Maryland.
In his new capacity at Deltek, with millions of users in over 80 countries one of the globe’s largest software providers for project-based businesses, Hardt will drive marketing initiatives to engage with customers and prospects and educate the market on Deltek’s capabilities. He will also lead the firm’s thought leadership endeavours – the company annually conducts a number of research reports with external research firms on topics such as the professional services industry, talent management, project management and cloud-based working.
Commenting on the hire of the seasoned manager – Hardt joins Deltek’s Executive team – CEO Mike Corkery said, “Perry is an accomplished marketing leader with an extensive background in the software industry. I am confident that he will fit well within our company culture and that his collaborative style and enthusiasm will make him a tremendous asset to Deltek’s employees and customers.”
The appointment comes around six months after Deltek appointed another member to its Executive team. Natasha Engan, who previously held leadership positions at IBM and Ascential Software, serves as Head of the firm’s Global Consulting arm. Both Hardt and Engan report directly to CEO Corkery.
In September this year, US-headquartered Deltek boosted its footprint in the creative industry solutions space with the acquisition of Scandinavia-based WorkBook.
