RSM appoints Dave Graham as Regional Business Development Director
RSM’s Midlands presence has become the firm’s most recent regional outfit to be boosted with the addition of new talent. Financial services and business development expert Dave Graham has taken on the role of Regional Business Development Director for RSM, on the back of strong local demand for the group.
Prior to joining RSM, Dave Graham spent almost six years at PKF Cooper Parry in its Midlands office, where he was most recently the Associate Director of Business Development. He previously worked at NatWest for fifteen years in the firm’s East Midlands office; where he was most recently Business Development Director for almost one and a half years, starting in 2010.
Graham joins RSM’s Leicester office, in the role of Regional Business Development Director. He is tasked with expanding the firm’s mid-market business relationships across the Birmingham, Leicester and Nottingham markets on the back of his extensive financial sector experience.
Remarking on the selection, the firm’s regional Managing Partner, Mark Taylor, said, “With a strong background in corporate and commercial banking, Dave is well placed to understand the opportunities and challenges facing local businesses. He is also well-known across the region’s business community and has an extensive network of contacts. I’m delighted to be able to welcome Dave to the RSM team and I am sure he will be a great asset to us and our clients.”
Regional growth
The appointment of Graham follows a succession of regional recruitments by RSM. In October, former Deloitte employee Laura Luty arrived at the company, having spent over 13 years with the Big Four firm. She was most recently an Associate Director at the professional services giant, focusing largely on advisory for the tax affairs of entrepreneurs and high-net worth individuals, covering a wide range of issues, from personal tax, trusts and estate issues, to offshore structures. In her new role as Private Client Tax Director, based in the firm’s office in Manchester, she will work to support private clients in the North West with issues pertaining to tax, on the back of growing demand in the region.
Earlier in 2017, RSM’s Mancunian outfit saw another change in the form of Stephen Green’s promotion to the head of its Transaction Services Financial Due Diligence practice. The firm also recently announced a further strengthening of its VAT and Indirect Tax practice in Scotland, with the appointment of Ian Brown as a Manager in its Glasgow team.
