The top consulting firms for Salesforce advisory and implementation
Salesforce has unveiled the list of consulting firms it believes have done the best job implementing and supporting its products and solutions at companies across the globe. Seventeen ‘Salesforce Consulting Partner Innovation Awards’ have been granted by the ERP-giant, with Deloitte and PwC each taking home two awards.
Salesforce is the world's leading CRM software and enterprise cloud ecosystem. The Salesforce Customer Success Platform is aimed at aiding businesses to grow into a more streamlined, effective and efficient organisation across sales, service and marketing. According to many, it is the leading customer relationship system for corporates and mid-sized firms.
Similar to all other major software vendors, Salesforce has a partner ecosystem in place in which it works, together with consulting firms, technology firms and other experts, to support its clients with Salesforce implementations. Partners also play a crucial role in Salesforce’s innovation plans, as they, leveraging their on-ground experience in using the system coupled with their expertise can come with all kinds of improvements to functionality and processes.
Consulting Partner Innovation Awards
To recognise the contribution of its partners in the area of management and technology consulting, Salesforce hosts its annual ‘Salesforce Consulting Partner Innovation Awards’ ceremony. The aim of the event is to highlight the exceptional performances of its partners and celebrate the firms that have done the best job. Salesforce recently revealed the winners of the 2017 edition, with seventeen awards going to fourteen consultancies.
Of those, it was predictably three of the industry’s largest players who took away most accolades. PwC, which, according to recent Gartner statistics, is the world’s largest consultancy, walked away with two gongs, taking the Retail prize for their work with fashion store GAP, and the Travel & Transportation award for their work with United, the world’s third most profitable airline.
PwC’s Big Four rivals Deloitte – presently the world’s largest security consultancy – meanwhile took two honours of their own. The first came in Automotive, for Deloitte’s work with Jaguar Land Rover China, and the second in Sales Cloud, with FCR Media Belgium. Accenture, another of the world’s ten largest consultancies, took home a further duo of awards – one for Financial Services with Suntrust, and the other in Connected Partner Ecosystem, with Momentum Energy.
Awards were also meted out to eleven other consulting industry players. CRM Science picked up plaudits for their Analytics Cloud work with Deluxe Entertainment. In the App Cloud Category, Birlasoft were commended for their work with US entertainment giants Disney and ABC Television, while the Community Cloud award was handed to Bluewolf for their support of engineering and entertainment software design firm Autodesk. The Marketing Cloud award was presented to Kalido, who supported Australian fast food company Craveable Brands.
In Communications, makepositive picked up a victory for their support of O3B Networks (now SES Networks), while in Healthcare & Life Sciences, Virsys12 took home a prize for their work with 180 Health Partners. In Manufacturing, Magnet 360 were celebrated for their work with Ecolab’s Food Retail Division, and Appirio were rewarded in the Media category for their work with the McGraw-Hill Education Community.
Acumen Solutions, meanwhile, picked up an award for their Public Sector engagement with the US Department of Veterans Affairs. Work on Western Union’s service cloud saw Slalom awarded a win in the Service Cloud category, with the firm having also made a name for themselves in the field of Salesforce consulting for veterans. Finally, Attain were honoured in the Nonprofit category for their support of the United Service Organisations (USO), which provides live entertainment through comedians and musicians, and other programs to members of the United States Armed Forces and their families.
Commenting on the award winners, a spokesperson of Salesforce said, “Congratulations to all of our 2017 Consulting Partner Innovation Awards Winners for their achievements. It is truly inspiring to see all of the innovation and customer success being driven by our ecosystem. These customer successes show that the Salesforce partner ecosystem continues to play a crucial role in trailblazing for our customers.”
Last month Deltek, one of the globe’s largest providers of enterprise software and solutions for project-based businesses, also unveiled the winners within its own partner ecosystem. Prizes for excellence in using Deltek’s ERP system and solutions delivering tangible bottom-line results went to Kleinfelder, Pöyry, Unisys, BAE Systems and OBXtek together with InfoTek Consulting.
