Screen, KPMG and Front Consulting partner of Screen Markets

In the second week of October 2017 a large conference for professionals in the financial services sector will take place in Amsterdam. The ‘Screen Markets’ event, in its 25th edition, brings together financial services institutions, regulators, consulting firms, intermediates and vendors to share trends and developments in the industry. Screen Consultants is the organiser of the event, two consultancies – KPMG and Front Consulting – serve as partners.

The financial services industry is ripe for disruption. The possibilities offered by technology and changing client expectations are changing the face of the sector, resulting in a whole new breed of players standing up to provide new, and better, offerings to clients globally. Large tech firms have entered the market in a bid to gain market share in the digital space, while the emergence of FinTechs is rapidly gaining foothold in (mainly) the customer experience side of the landscape. A wave of regulatory impact has added to the complexity for banks and insurance firms – leaving them in major need of revamped business models and more agile operations.

To help managers in the financial services sector navigate through today’s challenges, Screen Consultants organises so-called ‘Screen Market’ events across various European countries. Building on the latest edition, which was held in Munich, the next event takes place in Amsterdam, in the city’s financial services Zuidas district. At the event, professionals, ranging from, among others, CxO’s and managers to traders, project managers, product owners, risk & compliance officers and IT experts, will come together to discuss topics around four central themes:

  • Market Data Products & Solutions
  • Reference Data Management & Feeds
  • Trends in the world of Banking and Asset & Wealth Management Systems
  • Regulation & Compliance for Capital Markets (e.g. KYC, MAR, MIFID and ALM)

Atrium Amsterdam

Participants work at major financial services firms such as ABN Amro, BNP Paribas, KAS Bank, Citibank, Deutsche Bank, ING, UniCredit Bank, Rabobank, State Street, SEB, Nordea, APG, PGGM, MN and JP Morgan. “Consisting of an exhibition and a conference, Screen Markets offers all participants the best opportunity in the year to meet and mingle with all players on both the supply and demand side”, organisers Screen Consultants stated on their website.

Partners: Screen Consultants, KPMG and Front Consulting

This year, the event key sponsor is joined by KPMG Management Consulting – one of the service lines of KPMG Advisory, the consulting arm of the Big Four firm. Sander Klous, Managing Partner of KPMG’s Data Analytics offerings, will serve as one of the keynote speakers of the event, and moderate a panel discussion in collaboration with experts from Quadient, SIX Financial Information, TradeChannel and Rimes Technologies. In his keynote, Klous will demonstrate the growing importance of data to organisations and society, and explain how putting a data analysis foundation in place can provide managers with opportunities to improve decision-making.

The introduction of the event is provided by Screen Consultants, a provider of consultancy and benchmarking services to the financial services industry. Front Consulting, a consulting firm with offices in the Netherlands, Belgium and France, is the third player from the consulting industry that is involved with ‘Screen Markets Amsterdam’. Front Consulting has committed itself as a network partner, joining the likes of FIS Sungard, Owlin, Colt | Euronext and Thomson Reuters.

Commenting on the decision to sponsor the event, Sergio Franssen, country head of Front Consulting in the Netherlands, said “We have to date been modest in our marketing approach. Building on our ambitious expansion plans across Europe, we have decided to put more emphasis on the impact we create with our major relations. This event focuses the sweet spot of the world of Asset Management – one of our key offerings.”
