DSG, an accountancy and advisory firm from Liverpool, has enjoyed a strong start to the year across its corporate finance, tax advisory and finance services.

Across its corporate finance and tax practices, the professional services firm has completed 16 transaction mandates so far in 2026 with a combined value nearing £100 million. Activity has included a range of transaction and succession-led advisory mandates, reflecting ongoing demand for specialist advice as businesses navigate change and plan for the future.

The performance follows a successful 2025, when DSG’s corporate finance team completed more than 20 transactions with a combined value exceeding £200 million, advising on M&A, financial due diligence, employee ownership trust transactions, demergers, MBOs and succession planning projects.

Andrew Moss, Partner at DSG, said: “It’s been a strong start to the year, with activity across both transaction and succession planning work ensuring that we’re building on the strong momentum from 2025. Business owners continue to seek advice, and we’re seeing a healthy pipeline of opportunities as a result.”

DSG’s financial management offering, meanwhile, welcomed a range of new clients, with growth driven by its managed service proposition (‘Virtual Finance Office’).

“The growth of our Virtual Finance Office service has been particularly encouraging and reflects a significant shift in what businesses are looking for from their advisers. The strong demand we’ve seen since our launch demonstrates the value of having proactive, hands-on support that gives business owners greater visibility and confidence to make informed decisions as they grow,” said Mark Kearsley, Partner at DSG.

Founded in 1981 as Duncan Sheard Glass, with the rebrand to DSG effectively completed by 2024, DSG is one of the larger independent accounting firms in the Liverpool region. The firm generated revenues of £8 million in its latest financial year, although this figure is expected to be higher when it reports its latest results in September.

DSG is a member of DFK International, a global association of like-minded accounting and advisory firms across 85 countries worldwide.
