Strategy& partner Roman Friedrich joins TMT arm of AlixPartners
Roman Friedrich, a veteran in the consultancy industry and formerly at Strategy&, has joined AlixPartners as a Managing Director in its Technology, Media and Telecommunication practice. He brings more than two decades of experience to the role, and is tasked with accelerating the firm’s Digital Transformation capabilities in Europe.
Prior to joining AlixPartners, Roman Friedrich worked at Strategy& as a Vice President – he served the management consultancy and its legal predecessors for over twenty years.In his most recent role, Friedrich headed the firm's Technology, Media and Telecommunication (TMT) arm, and was part of the firm's management team.
Earlier in his career he was a Vice President at Booz & Company (acquired by PwC in 2014; rebranded as Strategy& – PwC's strategy consulting unit) and worked for Booz Allen Hamilton (prior to the firm's split into Booz Allen in the US and Booz & Company internationally).
Friedrich holds a Diploma in Nuclear Physics from the Technical University of Darmstadt and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Theoretical Quantum Filed Theory from the University of Tübingen.
Friedrich joins AlixPartners’ Technology, Media and Telecommunication segment as a Managing Director. The role sees him bring more than 20 years of experience to the role, which is focused on accelerating the firm’s Digital Transformation capabilities development in Europe. He will be stationed in the firm’s Dusseldorf office, taking on a key leadership position at the firm.

Last month AlixPartners added another heavyweight to its German operations: Bernd Brunke, formerly the CFO of Roland Berger, joined the firm's Munich office as a Managing Director.
