Alvarez & Marsal appoints 24 new Managing Directors
Global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) has per 1 January 2015 promoted 24 professionals to the position of Managing Director. 19 of the consultants are based in North America, while 5 operate from offices in emerging markets Brazil, South Korea and India.
Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) was established in 1983, and has since grown to one of the leading global professional services firms, with over 2,500 personnel working from 44 offices globally in 18 countries. The consultancy specialises in performance improvement, turnaround management and business advisory services, and is in particular well-known for its restructuring heritage and landmark projects with for instance governments and Lehman Brothers.

New hires
The appointments of the 24 new Managing Directors follows several additions of high-ranked professionals in recent months. Recently the firm boosted its US Private Equity Performance Improvement practice with Joseph Coote and Mike Darland, meanwhile Peter Cosco joined the Performance Improvement unit, also based in the US. The Global Forensic and Dispute Services group was bolstered with Christopher Laursen (Washington, D.C.) and Laura Hardin (Houston). In Europe, London’s team was strengthened with former Barclays restructuring executive Senthil Alagar, while Manos Kotronakis joined the growing Greek practice.
