The top 15 digital consulting firms in the Netherlands
IBM, Capgemini and Atos are according to executives and managers in the Netherlands the country’s best consultancy firms in the field of digital consulting. HP and Accenture close of the top five, with two of the Big Four also recognised.
Every year Management Team, a Netherlands-based business news magazine for management levels, conducts research into the satisfaction of managers with external technology providers. For the 2016 edition of the study, the sixteenth in a row, managers were asked to indicate which external service providers – with whom they do business – they would recommend. In total 625 respondents completed the questionnaire in full, almost 50% more than in 2015, with the research process facilitated by Inscope Research, an enterprise of Erasmus University Rotterdam.
The research looked at client satisfaction in 15 different segments within the wider IT services industry, ranging from hosting and e-commerce to software and security. One of the categories was ‘Digital Consultancy’, which looks at a variety of fields within IT consulting, such as digital strategy advisory, IT architecture, digital execution, IT outsourcing and technology development and implementation.
Top digital consulting firms
The study found that, when it comes to digital consulting services, IBM is according to Dutch managers the top ranked firm in the country. The American mammoth is followed by French-origin giants Capgemini and Atos, who both have large entities in the Netherlands and, besides their traditional IT business, benefit from large consulting practices: Capgemini Consulting and Atos Consulting. HP and Accenture (the firm has a dedicated Digital business unit but the analysis also considered Accenture's Consulting and Technology capabilities) close of the top five.
Other well-known consulting brands in the list of top digital consultancy service providers are Deloitte Consulting (#8) and Big Four rival KPMG (#9). The list of 15 firms is dominated by international corporates. KPN and Ordina, which both also operate beyond the Netherlands’ borders, are the only national origin companies in the ranking.
