Janet Dawson leads Government & Public Sector Assurance practice of EY
EY has picked up risk assurance and advisory expert Janet Dawson from PwC, where she spent the past 23 years. Dawson joins EY as Partner and head of its Global and UK&I Government & Public Sector Assurance practice.
Prior to joining EY, Janet Dawson worked at PwC as Partner and head of its UK Health team. During her more than 23 years at PwC, Dawson led a range of high profile external audits of NHS trusts and London boroughs. Additionally, Dawson’s work was instrumental in the introduction of clinical commissioning groups into the NHS.
Dawson holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Business/Management from the University of Edinburgh.
The announcement from EY sees Dawson take the helm of its Global and UK&I Government & Public Sector Assurance practice operation. The roles bring with it leadership of 220 UK & Ireland based professionals, as well as 2,600 global professionals that audit and provide assurance advice to various government and public sector organisations globally.
