At Mercer Marsh – an independent joint firm launched in 2012 to provide integrated HR consulting (Mercer) and brokerage (Marsh) services – Wood will be responsible for driving the growth of the business, and take responsibility for all areas of the firm, including financial performance, business development activity, and people management. He will in addition be part of the UK Leadership Team.

“As head of Mercer’s EH&B business, Tony will drive the growth of our Health business in the UK. We are delighted that he is joining Mercer at a time of great change and huge opportunity in the UK market. Increased life expectancy and longer working lives are pushing healthcare up the corporate agenda. Companies are looking for help structuring their benefits to create a healthier workforce and keep medical costs down. With over 20 years of relevant experience in the sector, Tony is perfectly placed to ensure that Mercer delivers what companies need,” says Fiona Dunsire, since December 2012 Mercer’s CEO in the UK.
