Fellwood Advisory hires debt advisory specialists Saran Lall and Molly Pearson

Two senior debt advisory specialists have joined Fellwood Advisory. Saran Lall joins as a director in the Midlands, while Molly Pearson arrives as an associate director in London – just over a year after the firm became a part of Cooper Parry.

Craig Cheetham, founding partner of Fellwood Debt Advisory, commented, “Saran and Molly are both highly respected advisers with outstanding experience across lending, refinancing and debt structuring. Their appointments further strengthen Fellwood Advisory now part of Cooper Parry and our debt advisory capability. Enhancing the integrated support we provide to clients through Cooper Parry Deals.”

Founded in 2023, Fellwood Advisory works to support UK-based companies, as clients seek out the right debt package to support a wide range of events. Fellwood joined Cooper Parry for an undisclosed fee in 2024, enabling the firm to expand this service – as part of Cooper Parry’s fourth deal since it established a new partnership with New York-based Lee Equity Partners in December 2024.

In the year since, Fellwood has worked consistently to strengthen its UK footprint, working to provide a dedicated local coverage across the Midlands. This is something which is boosted further by the arrival of Sarah Lall.

Prior to joining Fellwood, Lall spent more than five years in KPMG’s debt advisory team, where she led the national leveraged finance debt advisory business. She advised private equity sponsors and corporate clients across a broad range of financing transactions, including sell side and buyside M&A, re-financings, recapitalisations and growth funding.

The new director said, “Cooper Parry’s ambition and challenger mindset immediately stood out to me. The business has built a strong reputation for combining specialist expertise with a genuinely entrepreneurial approach, making it an exciting opportunity to be part of. The financing landscape is becoming increasingly complex, particularly for private equity-backed businesses navigating acquisitions, re-financings and growth plans. I’m looking forward to helping sponsors and management teams access the right funding solutions while contributing to the continued growth of Cooper Parry’s Debt Advisory team.”

Meanwhile in London, Molly Pearson joins as associate director in the capital. Her arrival further enhances the team’s support for corporate and private equity-backed clients across the UK.

She joins with Big Four experience of her own, after 11 years in the KPMG debt advisory team, where she advised a range of clients from small family-owned businesses to FTSE 250 companies on financing and refinancing transactions. During this time Pearson also developed significant expertise in corporate lending with a particular focus on asset-based lending solutions.

Pearson concluded, “This is a really exciting time to join Cooper Parry. What attracted me was the strength of the wider Deals proposition, the quality of the people and the opportunity to work with ambitious businesses with a broad range of funding requirements. Businesses need advisers who can help them navigate an increasingly diverse lending market and identify the right structure for their future plans. I’m looking forward to working alongside colleagues across the Deals team to deliver the best possible outcomes for our clients.”

These appointments further enhance Cooper Parry’s integrated Deals proposition, which brings together Corporate Finance, Debt Advisory, Management Incentive Advisory, Transaction Services and Transaction Tax expertise within a nationally connected team of more than 100 specialists.
