Public Digital appoints co-founder Tom Loosemore and Sarah Clark
Public Digital, a London-headquartered digital transformation consultancy, has announced the appointment of two new Non-Executive Directors.
Founded in 2015, Public Digital is a London headquartered consulting firm with around 100 permanent employees and a network of over 300 experts. The award-winning firm works across several sectors, including retail, telecoms, media, financial services, government, the NHS, education, and charities.
In a major milestone for the group, one of the firm’s four co-founders, Tom Loosemore, has announced his retirement from the business and will be joining the Board as a Non-Executive Director. Prior to co-founding the business, Loosemore spent years working for the government, where he played an important role in setting up the Government Digital Service, and served the BBC as well as Channel 4.
His transition in the Board is effective the 1st of January 2027. “It’s been a real privilege to work alongside this team. As a co-founder, I couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve achieved together since we first set up the business. When I step back from the day to day next year, I’ll keep helping Public Digital do what it does best: build institutions that deliver better outcomes for the public.”
New to the Board as a Non-Executive Director – effective immediately – is Sarah Clark, who brings extensive experience in digital transformation, organisational strategy and public service delivery to the firm. She previously held leadership roles at Barclays and PayPal.
Commenting on her appointment, Clark said: “Public Digital is a business with meaningful, measurable impact on people’s lives. I’m really excited by the breadth of what it does, and the opportunity to immerse myself in it. I’m looking forward to supporting Public Digital using my own experience in scaling businesses. I’ve seen first-hand what not to do, as well as what works, and I’m keen to bring those lessons here.”
Ben Terrett, the CEO of Public Digital, stated: “We’re excited that Tom will continue to support the firm in a Non-Executive role, demonstrating his ongoing commitment to our long-term success and strategic direction. And bringing Sarah onto the Board strengthens our governance and adds valuable experience as we look to the future.”
Earlier this year, Public Digital appointed Lesley Cowley as the company’s new Chair, she succeeded Tim Brooks, who served the Board for eight years. The company’s two other Non-Executives are Matt Derr (ex-PwC) and Susan Schuman (founder of SYPartners).
