PKF Littlejohn Advisory names Oliver Collinge and Stratford Hamilton as partners
Stratford Hamilton and Oliver Collinge have been promoted to partner of PKF Littlejohn’s UK advisory wing. The pair will strengthen the firm’s insolvency offering in the North of England.
Paul Williams, national head at PKF Littlejohn Advisory, commented, “These two promotions are not only an acknowledgement of their contribution to the success of our firm, but also demonstrates the quality, diversity and cohesiveness of our PKF team nationally. Together we look forward to supporting our clients in what is an ever more challenging environment.”
With over 1,450 people working from offices in London, Leeds and Manchester, PKF Littlejohn is one of the UK’s larger accounting and consulting firms. The firm is a member of PKF, a global network.
Stratford Hamilton will now head up PKF Littlejohn’s contentious insolvency team, in its advisory wing. Hamilton has played a central role in several significant and high profile matters including the extensive and highly complex investigation into Public Interest Lawyers, and Philip Shiner, as well as a number of high profile corporate and bankruptcy cases on behalf of the data protection, digital services and premium rate regulators.
Hamilton said, “I’m proud to be stepping into the role of Partner at a time when investigative insolvency work is more crucial than ever. With rising scrutiny around financial irregularities and director conduct, our focus on uncovering the facts and recovering value for stakeholders has never been more important.”
Oliver Collinge is also based in Leeds, and will now handle all aspects of restructuring with PKF Littlejohn. He has expertise supporting management, lenders, and investors with rescue strategies, facilitating insolvent sales, and conducting complex asset recovery investigations involving fraud or misfeasance.
Collinge has recently led successful disposals in the hospitality sector (Feversham Arms and Lumley Castle Hotel) and managed major construction sector administrations (Caldwell Construction Limited and Stratton Land Limited). He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a licensed Insolvency Practitioner.
The new PKF Littlejohns partner added, “In today’s volatile economic climate, the expertise of Insolvency Practitioners has never been more relevant. Supporting management teams and investors to prevent business failure when possible, securing optimal outcomes for creditors when insolvency cannot be avoided, and scrutinizing transactions that may have unfairly disadvantaged creditors are key to preserving value and maintaining confidence throughout the market.”
