K3 Advantage launches Data and Strategy service offering

As it looks to boost its offering to clients, K3 Advantage has launched a new suite of data and strategy services. The supporting practice will be headed by new appointee Ketan Govan.

Established in 1998, Bolton-based K3 is a multi-disciplinary professional services firm providing advisory services to SMEs. Part of the firm is K3 Advantage – which supports SMEs, PE funds and high-growth businesses in their acquisitive and organic strategies across the UK and internationally.

K3 Advantage offers a comprehensive suite of professional services across transactions, tax advisory, and strategy and data. As it looks to boost its services to clients, it has launched a new practice in its third key service offering.

The new data strategy service offering combines transaction and tax advisory excellence with analytics, automation and AI to unlock value for ambitious businesses. The offering is based around the firm’s flagship tool, named AdvantageIQ, which is designed to combine fragmented financial and operational data from multiple systems into a single decision-ready platform, helping businesses prepare more effectively for deals.

Through the strategy and data service line, K3 Advantage help organisations convert their data from a liability into a strategic asset that underpins long-term value creation. According to a release from the firm, clients will benefit from “greater business agility through data-backed decision-making, faster and cleaner diligence processes, stronger deal valuations and automation-driven cost savings and operational improvements.”

To spearhead the expansion, K3 Advantage has appointed Ketan Govan as head of data. His arrival reflects the firm’s “commitment to embedding sophisticated analytics at the heart of their advisory model”, as he brings a decade of data analytics and professional services experience from leadership roles at PwC, BT and Hazlewoods.

Commenting on his appointment, Govan said, “Our focus is on closing the gap between the data organisations hold and the real business value they can extract from it.”
