Oxbow Partners promotes George Hanks and Max Deacon to partner

Oxbow Partners, a London-based management consulting firm for the insurance industry, has promoted George Hanks and Max Deacon to partner.

George Hanks was one of the first employees of Oxbow Partners – he joined as a graduate early 2017, shortly after Oxbow Partners launched for business (2015). He leads engagements on topics including strategy, digital and transformation in the specialty and reinsurance markets.

“I am extremely proud to become a partner at Oxbow Partners. I’ve had so much fun supporting the building of this special business over the years, and I am hugely excited to play a leadership role going forwards,” said Hanks on his appointment.

Max Deacon joined in 2022 as a Senior Manager. He previously worked for Eden McCallum and founded EarthNet, a firm that connects non profit and community environmental projects to philanthropic funding.

During his time at Oxbow Partners, Deacon has established himself as an expert on London Market and global specialty underwriting strategy and transformation, helping major carriers optimise across growth, performance and productivity. He was the lead author on a recent Oxbow Partners white paper that explores underwriting in the London Market.

Based in London, Oxbow Partners is an award-winning consultancy that serves insurers, reinsurers, brokers and private equity firms. Its work span across strategy, operations, technology, data, transformation, and mergers & acquisitions.

Last year, the firm strengthened its partner team with Tony Sault, who previously was a partner at EY and senior member at Alpha FMC.
