Advisory, tax and audit firm Moore Kingston Smith has announced five promotions. Amar Shah, John Williams, Maverall Reynolds, Rob Kersse and Will McMullan take on the roles as part of the firm’s annual appointments.

Matt Meadows, managing partner at Moore Kingston Smith, said, “We’re delighted to acknowledge the outstanding talent, ambition and dedication across our firm, as reflected in another wave of very well-deserved promotions. These appointments truly speak to the strength of our people and the depth of leadership driving our continued success.”

Amar Shah becomes a general practice partner based at the Heathrow office, with expertise spanning audit, tax and strategic advisory. He works with owner-managed businesses and large groups, including private equity-backed businesses, in industries such as property, construction, retail, manufacturing, professional services and the film and music sectors.

John Williams is now a partner in the employment tax services team in the City office, advises start-ups, public sector organisations and large corporates on compliance and advisory matters. His focus is navigating employment tax and global mobility implications, as well as supporting businesses in attracting and retaining key talent.

Maverall Reynolds is a financial services partner based in the City office, specialising in statutory audit and audit-related services for regulated and non-regulated entities primarily in the financial services space. He oversees audits for a broad range of clients, ensuring compliance and accuracy while managing complex regulatory requirements.

Rob Kersse is a general practice partner in the West End office. He brings extensive experience across diverse sectors, including media, marketing services, professional firms and technology. Rob works with a broad spectrum of clients, from start-ups and owner-managed companies to private equity-backed businesses and large corporate groups, helping them navigate complex financial challenges.

Will McMullan becomes a corporate audit partner based in the City office. He specialises in leading large and complex audits, often involving overseas components, under both IFRS and UK GAAP. His experience spans sectors including recruitment, consultancy and professional services, retail, outsourced service providers and construction.

Elsewhere, the firm has also announced new director promotions. These included Mel Lambell in business outsourcing, Matt Earl and Jules Upton in general practice, Benjamin Ocquaye in IT assurance, Harry Dronfield in legal and Alan Booth in financial planning.

The London wing of Moore in the UK, Moore Kingston Smith boasts over 70 partners and more than 700 people based in and around the capital city. The firm recently received private equity investment to fund its M&A programme. However, unlike many others, it has kept its coveted partnership status.
