Neil Lawrinson returns to Forvis Mazars as partner
Forvis Mazars has appointed Neil Lawrinson as a partner and head of UK audit methodology. Based in Manchester, Lawrinson will lead the audit methodology team, driving innovation and embedding improvements in audit quality and client experience across all markets.
Commenting on the appointment, Forvis Mazars Partner Jon Seaman said, “Neil brings a wealth of experience and a unique perspective to this critical role. His appointment underlines our ambition to continuously strengthen audit methodology and empower our teams to deliver exceptional quality. Neil’s leadership will help us shape the future of audit and ensure we remain at the forefront of technical excellence.”
Lawrinson returns to Forvis Mazars after spending four years at the ICAEW quality assurance department. In that previous role, he reviewed non-public interest entity audits across a range of firms, which provided him with practical knowledge of audit quality controls and regulatory requirements.
He brings more than 30 years of experience of complex audit and regulatory expertise. In his new role, Lawrinson will lead the UK audit methodology team, supporting Forvis Mazars in delivering audit quality and enhancing client experience.
Lawrinson added, “I’m thrilled to return to Forvis Mazars in a role that combines my passion for audit quality with the opportunity to innovate. Our focus will be on sustaining improvements, simplifying risk-based processes, and leveraging technology, including AI, to enhance both quality and efficiency.”
