Dan Zubaida joins OC&C Strategy Consultants as partner
OC&C Strategy Consultants has announced the appointment of Dan Zubaida to partner in the consumer goods practice. Based out of OC&C’s London office, he will work to deepen the firm’s expertise in drinks and snacking categories globally.
Zubaida said of the news, “I’m delighted to be elected to the partnership. OC&C offers a unique proposition to our clients with significant senior input to answer their hardest strategic questions. I’m looking forward to playing a bigger role in developing our people in addition to our thriving global consumer goods practice.”
Since joining OC&C Strategy Consultants in 2016, Zubaida has played a significant role in strengthening OC&C’s consumer goods practice. His work has repeatedly helped clients reframe how they think about growth and value creation in the current state of flux where companies are reassessing their approach to staple categories.
This experience will be important, as according to Zubaida, wide-reaching trends in the sector OC&C has recently helped clients with include firms seeking volume growth, "in traditional categories where consumption isn’t growing". Elsewhere, larger corporations are also "shaping their portfolios to position themselves for future growth", for example, "Unilever demerging its ice cream brands."
As he steps into the partnership, the firm said in a release that Zubaida would “continue to develop and broaden the sector’s expertise through adding depth to OC&C’s capabilities”. He will also look to accelerate “OC&C’s pan-sector value creation strategy offering”, while “deepening the firm’s expertise in drinks and snacking categories”.
Elsewhere, he will remain a committed advocate for all parents across OC&C’s global firm, through supporting its Parents Network.
Will Hayllar, global managing partner, added, “His promotion is a testament to the dedication, judgement and client impact he brings to OC&C, as well as his commitment to developing those around him. Dan’s appointment closes an exciting year of internal promotions across our global firm. The strength of our talent pipeline is central to how we help clients navigate their most pressing challenges, and I look forward to seeing Dan play a significant role in the ongoing success of our firm and the many clients Dan serves.”
