Chessy Whalen and Asher Cohen elevated to partner with OC&C
OC&C Strategy Consultants has promoted Chessy Whalen and Asher Cohen to partner in its London office. Their appointments reflect the firm’s continued investment in developing exceptional talent and deepening its expertise across key industries.
Will Hayllar, global managing partner, commented, “We are thrilled to bring Chessy and Asher into the partnership. Both have demonstrated outstanding commitment to their clients, our people, and the firm. Their promotions underline our new generation of partners at OC&C Strategy Consultants who have grown within the firm. The strength of our talent pipeline supports our ability to serve clients across the most complex challenges they face. We look forward to seeing the impact they will make as they join our partnership.”
Chessy Whalen joined OC&C directly from university, and has built her career with the firm over the past nine years. She specialises in the B2B sector, with a particular focus on the end-to-end lifecycle of buildings and infrastructure. Much of her recent work has centred on supporting clients critical to enabling the energy transition across Europe and the US, combining important environmental outcomes with major commercial opportunities.
Alongside her client work, Whalen has been a strong advocate for inclusivity at OC&C. She has played a leading role in the firm’s LGBTQ+ network, which has risen to 14th in the Stonewall Workplace Equality Index, making OC&C the top-ranked consulting firm in the list. Chessy is focused on building strong, collaborative teams and helping the next generation of consultants develop their careers.
Whalen said of the promotion, “I am passionate about investing in the talented people we hire at OC&C and helping them become the best consultants that they can. Growing and developing our team is the only way we can keep raising the bar on the work we deliver for clients.”
Asher Cohen meanwhile began his corporate career industry-side before moving into consulting to tackle the most strategic challenges facing businesses. At OC&C, he has developed significant expertise within the Consumer Goods sector, working with both global multinationals and high-growth challengers.
Cohen is particularly proud of building long-term client relationships, supporting businesses across multiple stages of growth; from strategy and M&A through to operating model and go-to-market design. He believes OC&C’s strength lies in its ability to advise clients across the full company lifecycle, even within an increasingly uncertain world.
He added, “At OC&C, I genuinely think we are uniquely placed to help our clients given the full lifecycle of companies we work with – we have the privilege of knowing the challenges global giants are trying to solve as well as the ones on the road ahead for rapidly scaling businesses which creates a virtuous circle.”
