H&Z announces ‘generational shift’ with three new managing directors

H&Z Management Consulting has announced a change in its senior leadership. Looking ahead, it will be helmed by Christof Sonderhauser, Jonas Harm and Sven Steinert.

Founded in 1997, H&Z Management Consulting is an advisory firm specialising in strategy and performance, procurement, transformation, and sustainability work. With over 600 consultants in 14 countries, it has implemented over 3,500 successful projects.

In the last two years, the firm has been rapidly expanding its European footprint. This included the launch of a first UK office in London.

As the firm looks to capitalise on this momentum, long-term leaders Harald Enz and Stefan Aichbauer are stepping aside to allow for new energy. The pair will instead focus fully on expanding the H&Z Group: its growing ecosystem of consulting, digital transformation, restructuring and customer experience.

In their place, a trio of new managing directors will head up the firm. Jonas Harm, Sven Steinert and Christof Sonderhauser will take over the leadership, in what the firm called “a generational shift that combines continuing with new energy”.

Prior to the promotions, Harm was a partner and global head of procurement at H&Z. He has been with the firm for more than 11 years.

Sonderhauser is an M&A expert within H&Z. He was earlier the chief financial officer for the firm.

Formerly a partner and head of sustainability advisory with the firm, Steinert has spent seven years at H&Z. He is also CEO of Sustainx, a digital platform designed for the sustainability-focused world.

He commented in a post on LinkedIn, “Together with Jonas Harm and Christof Sonderhauser, I’m taking on the role of managing director at H&Z Management Consulting… I’m looking forward to working with all our consultants, project managers, principals, and partners, as well as our colleagues across the H&Z Group to continue this growth story and shape H&Z into a leading brand in Germany and Europe.”
