Helen Gregory named partner with Opus Forensic Accounting
Experienced consultant Helen Gregory has joined the forensic accounting team of Opus Business Advisory Group. She brings 30 years of accounting and consulting knowhow to the firm.
Nicholas Parton, head of Opus Corporate Finance, commented, “We are delighted to welcome Helen. Her technical knowledge, integrity and experience speak for themselves, but what stands out most is her reputation. She’s respected in the profession, trusted by clients, and brings warmth and humour to every challenge. Her appointment marks another significant step in the growth of our forensic practice.”
Opus Forensic Accounting is part of the Opus Business Advisory, which is a wider advisory firm that assists clients in achieving their objectives, enhancing value and attaining the best possible results. Providing specialist skills to facilitate the next steps of the client’s business journey, the group has 14 offices across the UK, with a headcount of over 100 and 35 partners.
Gregory’s arrival will strengthen Opus Forensic Accounting amid its continued expansion. Having qualified as a chartered accountant in 1995, she has specialised in forensic work since 1998, including secondments to the Serious Fraud Office and a Section 447 investigation for the Department for Trade and Industry, now the Department for Business & Trade (DBT).
Tim Dolder, a managing partner at Opus, added, “Helen is a superb addition to the team. Her expertise, strong reputation and cultural fit align perfectly with our values as a firm. This is another strategic appointment that strengthens our national forensic offering while enhancing our presence nationally, ultimately helping us deliver even more for our clients.”
Her career has taken her from London to the South West, where she has spent the past 20 years establishing a strong reputation for her expertise and pragmatic approach. Over that time, she has spent time with firms including Grant Thornton, RSM Tenon and PKF.
Speaking about the move, Gregory concluded, “This is an exciting step for me. I’ve joined Opus at exactly the right time, personally and professionally. The opportunity to lead and grow the forensic offering from the South West, while working alongside people I respect and have worked with before, was too good to miss. Culture matters, and here it’s collaborative, supportive and genuinely energising. I’m looking forward to helping clients navigate complex challenges with clarity and confidence.”
