Opus Restructuring & Insolvency has announced a new partner to lead its creditor services team. Brendan Clarkson will head up the operations across 14 UK offices.

Tim Dolder, managing partner at Opus, commented, “Brendan’s experience and network are second to none in the creditor services space, and his collaborative approach aligns perfectly with our culture. This appointment is another important step in scaling our national reach and delivering exceptional service to clients across the UK.”

Joining with over 25 years’ experience in creditor services, Clarkson will lead Opus’ growing Credit Services offering, providing support to creditors and lenders pre- and post-appointment. Having worked at RSM Tenon, PKF Littlejohn and Begbies Traynor, among others, he boasts deep sector knowledge, a strong national profile, and an established network of creditor and lender relationships.

Looking ahead, his remit will include advising funders and trade creditors on recovery options in the event of corporate distress, helping them to navigate complex insolvency and restructuring processes.

Commenting on his appointment, Clarkson noted, “Opus has a great reputation in the market for being very client-focused, which aligns with my approach. I’ve known several of the team for many years, and I’m excited to be joining at a time of significant growth. My goal is to further strengthen our national creditor services team and ensure we continue to provide first-class support to funders, lenders and trade creditors across the UK.”

His arrival marks yet a key appointment for Opus, which is continuing its investment in its national restructuring and insolvency capability. The creditor services team is expected to grow rapidly over the coming months, with new hires already planned to expand geographic reach and delivery capacity.
