Davies adds second Middle East office with Doha launch

Professional services and technology business Davies has launched its first office in Qatar. As the European firm expands into the Middle East, its hub in Doha will complement its other regional office in the UAE.

Davies boasts a global team of more than 6,500 professionals operate across ten countries, including the UK and the US. Over the past decade, Davies says it has grown its annual revenues more than 20-fold, and serves more than 1,500 insurance, financial services, public sector, and other highly regulated clients. The firm’s consulting offering has been at the heart of this, delivering professional services and technology solutions across the risk and insurance value chain.

As economies across the Middle East look to modernise, this offering is being expanded across the region. Davies’ new Doha office will become the company’s second hub in the region, joining a dedicated forensic accounting office based in Dubai. Clients will now also have access to Davies’ consulting and technology solutions with local experts based in Doha, leveraging global market knowledge across insurance, capital markets, asset and wealth management, and retail finance and corporate banking.

Ricky Maloney, head of Davies’ GCC region, said, “We’ve had the honour of contributing to the development of the financial services sector in Qatar since 2021, With the opening of our new offices, we plan to build on this success, strengthening existing relationships and developing new partnerships across the banking, financial market infrastructure and regulatory sectors. Our global team of highly skilled market practitioners help businesses accelerate, advance their technology, and drive transformation and people performance, as we support clients in pursuit of their strategic contributions to the economic and human development pillars of Qatar’s National Vision 2030.”

Looking ahead, Davies’ Doha office marks a key milestone as the firm continues to expand its geographical reach and global service offering for clients. Earlier this year, Davies also announced increased investment in its technology and AI offering with the aim to grow annual global revenues to £2.5-3 billion over the next five years, as part of its Vision-2030 strategy.

Ashley Sheen, Chief Strategy Officer, Davies added, “The new office in Doha, Qatar cements our presence in the Middle East as we continue to invest in the region to provide local, nuanced expertise for our global and regional clients.”
