Fairgrove, CMI and CODEX launch multi-disciplinary Consulting For Capital offering

Professional services firms Fairgrove, CMI and CODEX have penned an exclusive international consulting partnership. Consulting For Capital will work to support ambitious, high-growth corporations and private equity firms in resolving commercial challenges across strategy, mergers and acquisitions and business transformation.
When competing with the world’s largest consulting firms, mid-market and boutique advisory labels can be frozen out by clients. While smaller firms might command equivalent – or better – expertise in their respective fields, the ability of teams within professional services generalists to collaborate is their greatest strength.
But in recent years, a growing number of specialist firms have pivoted, to appeal to clients with multi-disciplinary alliances with other similarly sized firms. The latest example of this comes in the shape of Consulting For Capital – which combines the special knowhow of professionals from three entrepreneurial firms.
Fairgrove, CMI and CODEX remain independent, owner-led firms, whose managing directors each have first-hand experience of founding and growing new businesses. In their combined Consulting For Capital network, they now present a united front of 170 consultants across key economic hubs in London, Paris, Madrid, Munich, Frankfurt and Zurich. This combines the deep local knowledge with the ability to cater to cross-border projects, with the collective experience of over 1,500 projects.
Announcing the launch, Patrick Woodrow, co-founder of Fairgrove remarked, “Our partnership with CMI and CODEX is built on a belief in the power of cross-border, sector-focussed teams, entrepreneurial spirit and investment in top-tier talent to produce outstanding results for our clients and employees. We are hugely excited to introduce this partnership to the European mid-market.”
Founded in 2013, Fairgrove Partners is a strategic advisory firm, serving corporations, private equity funds and their portfolio companies, and the family offices of high-net-worth individuals. The firm is based in London, and serves clients in the UK, US, China and Japan. Meanwhile, Germany-headquartered CODEX Partners has worked since its foundation in 2000 for over 100 industrial and service companies as well as private equity funds. And French-origin strategy consultancy CMI strategy has worked since 1986 to be recognised across Europe for its ability to deal with complex issues.
Clemens Beickler, co-founding partner at CODEX, said of the news, “Our clients are owners, managers and investors of market-leading businesses. They have risked capital to create value through innovation, growth and employment for their stakeholders, which frequently results in new cycles of investment and growth. In doing so, they contribute greatly to our free society. We support them in realising opportunities and managing risks by undertaking the most advanced quantitative and qualitative analyses to deliver clear evidence and advice for decision-making.”
All three consulting firms will remain independent entities in their own right. But looking ahead, under the Consulting For Capital umbrella, they will bring financial, intellectual and human capital services to help clients reach their “full potential.”
Nicolas Kandel, president of CMI added, “In Fairgrove and CODEX, we are partnering with two of Europe’s leading consultancies, who hold the same values that we share with our clients: mutual trust, respect, integrity and the highest professional standards. While rigorous data-driven analysis is the foundation of our approach, we also apply years of deep experience to crafting strategies that work.”
