PKF Littlejohn appoints Garin McFarlane as partner
Garin McFarlane has joined PKF Littlejohn as partner in the financial services team. He joins following close to two decades at Big Four firms in London and Cape Town.
Commenting on the arrival, Dominic Roberts, managing partner of PKF Littlejohn, said, “As we expand, it is essential that we invest in our team and bring in new, top-tier colleagues who can continue to push us forward and provide the people-focused service that our clients have come to expect.”
At PKF, McFarlane will focus on audit and assurance services to insurance carriers, Lloyd’s Syndicates and brokers, building on the firm’s well-established practice and further bolstering the team’s rapidly expanding capabilities in this space. According to Roberts, he will bring “highly impressive experience, deep industry knowledge and ability to build strong relationships” to this role, and the firm is “delighted to have him onboard.”
Most recently an audit director in the insurance audit wing of KPMG, McFarlane obtained a wealth of industry experience and knowledge at the Big Four firm – and has worked extensively with insurance carriers and Lloyd’s syndicates providing audit, assurance, and advisory services in both South Africa and the UK.
Speaking on his new role, McFarlane added, “This is a really exciting time to be joining PKF Littlejohn. I have built my practice undertaking largescale, complex audits for some of the major industry players and look forward to drawing upon this experience in my new role.
