Stuart Crisp joins Bishop Fleming as partner

Bishop Fleming has announced the appointment of a new audit partner as it continues its growth drive across the South West and Midlands. Stuart Crisp takes on the role in the firm’s Bristol locale.

Bishop Fleming is an independent provider of audit, accountancy, tax, and advisory services in the UK. The firm boasts a turnover of £43.1 million, and saw growth of almost 13% over the last 12 months. Stuart Crisp’s arrival is pivotal for Bishop Fleming’s Bristol office, where the audit team has now surpassed 100 professionals.

Crisp remarked, “Bishop Fleming has bold ambitions for growth, and I’m eager to play my part in the upward trajectory of the firm. The firm’s strength in Bristol was a major factor in joining the team – its rapid expansion makes it one of the largest offices in the city outside of the Big Four – and it’s clear that this is a firm with a strong reputation and a great culture.”

Bishop Fleming is also expanding its Bristol office footprint to accommodate this rapid expansion, taking over an additional floor in its central location. This investment underscores the firm’s long-term commitment to the city and provides a dynamic, collaborative workspace for its growing team. This growth reflects the firm’s ongoing investment in the city and aligns with its Better Growth strategy, which has seen audit revenues increase by at least 23% in each of the last three years.

With another strong year underway, the firm is on track for similar results, further solidifying its position as one of the region’s leading audit providers. However, Crisp was keen to add that while Bristol is “an important hub”, his role will extend across the region, ensuring the company continues to grow its presence in the wider area.

Crisp was previously an audit partner at Bristol independent firm Corrigan, strengthens Bishop Fleming’s Bristol-based team as demand for the firm’s audit services increases, most notably in its owner managed business market. He brings over 25 years of experience in accountancy and audit to the firm, including over a decade spent with large international firms Baker Tilly and BDO.
