Rimkus appoints John Colquhoun as director

Global engineering and technical consultancy Rimkus has appointed a new director in its London arm. John Colquhoun joins with more than two decades of experience.
"John is a highly experienced forensic investigator with a strong knowledge of the insurance market and energy sector,” commented Rob Coupe, managing director for APAC and EMEA at Rimkus. “He will be a great addition to our team of technical experts and pivotal to our growth priorities within the EMEA region.”
Rimkus is an international provider of engineering, technical, and construction consulting to corporations, insurance companies, law firms, and government agencies. Colquhoun is a well-known expert in his field and will further strengthen the company’s expert services capability across the United Kingdom and Europe, servicing the construction, infrastructure, legal, and insurance sectors.
A chartered engineer and expert in forensic investigations, Colquhoun boast more than 20 years of experience in the global telecommunications, power, and energy sectors, including generation, storage, and distribution. Having previously worked for large engineering consultants, his expertise extends to wind, hydro, solar, battery storage, and nuclear power generation incidents, where he provides comprehensive assessments of complex engineering challenges. He has been involved in several high-profile legal proceedings, providing expert testimonies and CPR-compliant reports for the Royal Courts of Justice, Scottish Sheriff Courts, Fatal Accident Inquiries, and the Institute of Civil Engineering Arbitration.
