Ana Barbir re-joins Rimkus as Director in London office
Global professional services firm Rimkus has appointed Ana Barbir as a Director in its London office.
A member of the Life Sciences practice, Ana Barbir brings over 20 years of experience in biomechanical engineering and forensic analysis to Rimkus. Her background includes consulting, academic research, computational modelling, and hands-on testing of safety systems.
Throughout her career, she has led complex investigations across the United States and the United Kingdom, with expertise in impact biomechanics, injury consistency, and collision analysis. Her focus lies in automotive scenarios, including seatbelt use, helmet safety, child car seats, pedestrian impacts, and low-speed collisions. Barbir also brings significant experience in cases involving falls from height, slips, trips, and general fall-related incidents.
She has served as an expert witness in both civil and criminal courts, producing expert reports and delivering testimony in high-stakes litigation.

For Barbir, the move marks her return to the firm – she previously spent six years as a member of its US team. “I am thrilled to be back at Rimkus, leading efforts to grow our life sciences services in the UK, starting with biomechanics, human factors, and toxicology. In my personal practice, I am excited to continue providing technical expertise and court testimony in biomechanics with emphasis on helmet and seatbelt usage and personal injury.”
