Trinity International Education seals move for St. Andrew's College Language Schools
Trinity International Education has acquired St. Andrew’s College Language Schools. The deal was supported by professionals from PKF Smith Cooper.
A subsidiary of Trinity ViaggiStudio Srl, a tour operator specialised in organising travel and study abroad vacations, Trinity International Education was launched in 2012, to provide English-as-a-foreign-language courses in the UK, US and Italy. Focusing mostly on young learners, the firm has been building its portfolio in recent years.
Most recently, this has seen the UK-based company purchase St. Andrew’s College Language Schools. With this transaction, Trinity International Education strengthens its market presence and further expands the range of summer camp programs offered.
St. Andrew’s College Language Schools is a Scottish company specialising in summer camps and cultural programs that operates 18 centres in Scotland and England. Looking ahead, the two companies will retain their brand identities and management teams that will combine their expertise to best meet the needs of their clients.
Speaking to The Pie News, Trinity International Education Managing Director Mark Cook said, “This partnership with St Andrew’s is a real game changer for TIE. Being able to offer more centres in parts of the UK where we do not operate means the conversation with our partners can continue – no one likes to say “no”, and now we can say “yes” more often.”
Trinity International Education was assisted in the deal by PKF Smith Cooper. The company performed the financial and tax due diligence and acted as financial advisor together with Equita Mid Cap Advisory, Italian partner of Clairfield international, and Flint Bishop, which performed the legal due diligence and followed the legal aspects of the transaction together with Bidoggia e Associati Studio Legale.
As UK Midlands member of the global PKF International network, PKF Smith Cooper is a mid-tier firm with a global clout – and completed over 100 deals worth a combined £2 billion last year.
The deal is the latest in a number of deals in the private education sector of the UK. Earlier in the summer, global education group Globeducate acquired bilingual London schools L'ecole Des Petits and L'Ecole De Battersea. The deal was delivered by professionals from LAVA Advisory.
