OC&C Strategy Consultants names Fred Ward as partner
OC&C Strategy Consultants has appointed Fred Ward as a partner in the firm’s B2B services team. Based in London, Ward is promoted to the partnership after a decade with the firm.
Will Hayllar, managing director at OC&C Strategy Consultants, said, “I am delighted to announce Fred’s election to our strong and ever-growing partnership. It is always a joy to see OC&C’ers join the business as associate consultant, move upwards through consulting positions and ultimately become partner. This election reaffirms our unwavering commitment to fostering and nurturing exceptional people, while simultaneously underscoring our belief that OC&C truly is the best home for the best strategy talent.”
Hallyar added that Ward “is integral to OC&C’s B2B practice”, and that his contributions would continue to enhance the “esteemed B2B sector and wider business”.
The B2B team provides expertise and sector insight to clients across automotive, built environment and recycling, industrial products, insurance, marine, professional services and outsourcing.
As a partner in the practice, Ward will build on his commercial success, supporting clients across two key strands: professional services; and testing, inspection, certification and compliance (TICC). He has been working actively with a broad group of partners in the UK, US and Netherlands to build strong traction in these areas.
He brings to his new role a deep understanding of the B2B sector and a strength of conceptual problem solving, honed during 10 years with OC&C. He joined as an associate consultant in 2014, and has since delivered results “over a wide range of client work”, according to a release from OC&C.
Commenting on his appointment, Ward added, “I am very grateful to OC&C for being such a nurturing place, and I am honoured to become partner, helping my clients, working through their biggest challenges with rigour and honesty, and always staying a step ahead. I particularly relish the opportunity to grow OC&C’s work in the professional services’ space where a combination of ESG and GenAI megatrends as well as continued PE private equity will continue to create opportunities (and the odd headache) for investors and management teams alike.”
