PwC recruits Jamie Peel as director in deal team
Jamie Peel has joined PwC as a director. He will boost the firm’s deals practice, and draw on 16 years of professional services experience.
Peel, said of his new role, “I’m excited to be joining PwC’s deals practice adding to its unique and distinct market offering. I look forward to working with clients on their most pressing business issues and helping them navigate their M&A needs.”
Having commenced his career in 2008 with KPMG, Peel spent three years with the Big Four firm’s financial services wing. There, he was promoted to assistant manager, and led several group audit teams, primarily within the retail banking sector, as well as providing support to colleagues on financial due diligence projects.
In 2021, Peel joined deals advisory Zeus, initially as an assistant director before being promoted to director in investment banking in 2016. In that role, he was responsible for executing complex M&A transactions covering a range of sectors and transaction types.
His hiring at PwC is the latest in a series of investments into the firm’s deals practice. As a director in its lead advisory team, Peel will now lead PwC’s special situations and restructuring M&A offering across the North of England, working as an integrated part of PwC’s national team in this area.

Peel will be based in PwC’s Manchester office. PwC has been present in Manchester for 80 years and employs over 1,300 staff there. The firm also recently added to that team with the appointment of Sarah O’Toole as a partner.
