4C Associates adds experienced CPO Paul Bestford to team
4C Associates has strengthened its senior team with Paul Bestford, an experience chief procurement officer and former Big Four consultant.
Paul Bestford brings a wealth of experience in leadership roles across luxury, retail, life sciences, management consultancy and aviation.
Appointed a Managing Partner at 4C Associates, Bestford will work with the firm’s clients on the transformation of their procurement functions, specialising in topics such as strategic sourcing, purchasing, e-sourcing, digital transformation and shared services, as well as supply chain.
The move marks his return to the world of consulting, around two decades after he exited KPMG for a role in industry. Most recently the Chief Procurement Officer of Nutreco, Bestford also held the CPO role at Burberry and John Lewis, and led major procurement transformations at Novartis, among others.
His previous consulting experience was gained at KPMG and EY. Current employer 4C Associates meanwhile is a specialist consultancy, dedicated to supply chain and procurement services. The firm last year ranked as a leading consultancy in both segments in The UK’s Top Consulting Firms and previously bagged a royal recognition for its work.
“I’m thrilled to embark on this new journey with 4C Associates and contribute to the organisation’s growth. I’m inspired by the team’s focus on delivering positive change for our clients, pushing the boundaries of conventional thinking, and exploring new ideas to solve complex problems – and I’m delighted to be part of it,” Bestford said.
Welcoming the latest Managing Partner hire to its ranks, Managing Director Jeremy Smith said: “4C’s success is fuelled by our people who bring diversity of knowledge, experience and thinking to everything we do, and I’m very proud to have high calibre leaders like Paul to be part of our growing team.”
